STW GmbH, a specialist in plant engineering, is expanding its service portfolio to include sheet metal processing. The new services include laser cutting, bending and welding, as well as additional services such as deburring.

STW GmbH's new offerings in the field of sheet metal processing include laser cutting, bending and welding, which are provided as a comprehensive all-in-one solution from a single source. This enables the customized production of components without having to rely on other service providers - a decisive advantage for companies that want to save time and transport routes. STW offers an integrated solution that covers all work steps such as lasering, bending, round rolling and welding. A large-format laser can be used to precisely cut metal sheets up to a size of 3000 x 1500 mm and a material thickness of up to 20 mm. The company is also able to process sheets with a thickness of up to 12 mm and a maximum bending length of 3000 mm. "Our employees have a background in plant engineering and are used to developing flexible, customized solutions. They have extensive experience in welding stainless steel, as it is often necessary to optimize and adapt supplied components," explains Thomas Feldmeier, Commercial Director of STW GmbH. "It therefore made sense to include these work steps in our portfolio." The expansion of the range of services resulted from the increasing demand for sheet metal forming work in plant construction, for example in the production of tanks or covers. Previously, this work was carried out by external suppliers. However, delivery bottlenecks and time-related challenges prompted STW GmbH to integrate the processes internally. With the acquisition of the new machines and the in-house storage of the common materials 1.4301 and 1.4404, the company now also offers external customers free capacity for contract work.

An additional advantage of STW is its flexibility in dealing with drawings and sketches. "The employees are used to working with simple hand sketches, which means that 3D drawing files are not absolutely necessary," says Feldmeier. This means that orders can be processed quickly and easily for customers. Additional services include deburring, countersinking, thread cutting and round bending, making STW GmbH a comprehensive partner for sheet metal processing. The company has already successfully completed projects such as cladding for electric charging stations, covers as splash guards for sensitive devices or as safety devices with integrated proximity switches. Orders can be placed simply by submitting a (hand) sketch or drawing in DXF, DWG or STEP format - for both individual parts and assemblies. STW GmbH, based in Nördlingen, is an experienced specialist in plant engineering. With its focus on customized solutions, the company has been offering high-quality services in the field of plant planning and production for many years. By integrating sheet metal processing, STW is expanding its range of services and responding to current market requirements.
