Stuttgart Surface Technology Prize 2026: Application deadline extended
Fraunhofer IPA awards the Stuttgart Surface Technology Prize "The Surface" again in 2026. The application deadline for the award for innovative applications and technologies within surface technology has now been extended.
The application deadline for the Stuttgart Surface Technology Award "The Surface" is 6 March 2026. Until then, both individuals and organizations from all areas of surface technology can submit their product or process innovations. A three-member jury of experts will review all entries for sustainability, degree of innovation, scope of the technology and industrial feasibility. The winners will be chosen on May 5, 2026 at the Surface Technology Germany trade fair in Stuttgart.
All necessary documents for the application and further information are available on the Fraunhofer IPA website. The Stuttgart Surface Technology Prize "The Surface" is awarded every two years. In 2024, Holzapfel Metallveredelung won the competition. The company from Sinn in central Hesse impressed the jury with a rotating and tilting electroplating rack. The application deadline for the Stuttgart Surface Technology Award 2026 was originally set to end on February 20, 2026, but was then extended to March 6.
