RAL Farben publishes trend report RAL Colour Feeling 2023+

The new color palette for 2023+ under the title Share + Apply from RAL Farben defines 15 color shades for physical and digital applications in architecture, design, crafts and industry.
On October 14, RAL Farben published its new trend report RAL Colour Feeling 2023+. This offers designers a stimulating design tool that not only inspires in the short term, but also facilitates project work in the longer term. The key to adaptable design for diverse applications lies in the simple combinability of the new colors. The inspiring color matrix provides versatile impulses for atmospheric and function-oriented coloring of the physical and virtual environment. The new trend report was developed within the framework of the long-standing cooperation between RAL Farben and the Institute International Trendscouting of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hildesheim. Share + Apply is adapted to a contemporary aesthetic that enables combinations with longer-term added value. At the same time, the color palette for 2023+ is consciously seen as a further development. Three shades from the previous year have been carried over to make it even easier to complement existing design elements.
The 15 colors of the Share + Apply color world combine natural and digital-looking nuances for the functional and atmospheric design of physical as well as virtual products, spaces and collections. It is increasingly important for companies to develop hybrid designs, as virtual worlds influence people's aesthetic preferences in real life as well. The natural-looking shades in this year's Trend Report are inspired by algae and earth colors. Its more artificial tones, on the other hand, reflect the upbeat mood and stimulating creativity of the Metaverse. The new color palette expresses the spirit of the times: in addition to social challenges, climate and environmental protection are more important than ever before. Accordingly, tones inspired by nature remain essential. In parallel, the development of the Metaverse and Web 3.0 stimulates free creativity and bold innovation: Reinforced by lessons learned from the pandemic, higher saturated nuances are gaining traction online and offline. Maximalism and Dopamine Decor (the deliberate use of vivid colors and contrasts to increase energy and joie de vivre) have arrived among broad sections of society.
