Pero AG mourns the death of CEO Horst Erbel
Pero AG mourns the loss of its CEO Horst Erbel, who passed away on February 10, 2026 after a short, serious illness.
From 1957, Horst Erbel was involved in setting up Pero's own production facilities for metal cleaning systems. Until then, the production of the systems had been outsourced. He took up the position of foreman and then production manager at his father's company, P. Erbel. He became a partner in the company in 1963, took on entrepreneurial responsibility as a general partner in 1969 and has been the active Chairman of the Management Board of Pero AG since 1996. For more than six decades - and with close ties over a total of 75 years of company history - he played a key role in shaping the development of the company.

Horst Erbel led Pero AG with strategic flair, technical expertise and entrepreneurial courage. Under his leadership, the company continued to develop and consolidated its position as a specialist for high-quality series cleaning systems. The management of the company remains in the hands of board members Manuela Böhm and Gerd Erbel. Together with the entire Pero team, they will consistently pursue the company's strategic direction and continue to pursue the goals set in the manufacture of series cleaning systems in the spirit of Horst Erbel.
