With Vitralit UD 8060 F, Panacol is expanding its portfolio of dual-curing acrylic adhesives with another high-performance 1-component system with high elongation at break, which is perfect for use as a potting in electronics and sensor assembly.

The new adhesive is based on a modified isocyanate acrylate and can be cured by UV-A irradiation as well as with LEDs in the wavelength ranges of 365 and 405 nm. In the first curing step, Vitralit UD 8060 F is fixed with UV light within a few seconds. In the next step, the adhesive is fully cured by the humidity present on the substrates and the ambient air humidity, ensuring stress-free cross-linking even in hard-to-reach shaded areas - without any thermal stress on sensitive electronic components. The rapid build-up of hand strength prevents warping of the bonded substrates and enables the components to be processed or transported quickly. This makes Vitralit UD 8060 F ideal for applications with shadow zones or complex component geometry - for example in consumer electronics, when securing components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) or in sensor assembly.

Vitralit UD 8060 F adhesive for particularly soft, flexible bonding

Vitralit UD 8060 F is characterized by a high elongation at break of up to 130 % and very good adhesion to various substrates such as PC, PMMA, FR4, copper and aluminium. Its temperature resistance ranges from -40 °C to +130 °C. In addition, the adhesive shows very good resistance under humid conditions - after 85/85 tests (85 °C / 85 % RH, 120 h), the strength values remain largely stable. Compared to other products in the Vitralit 80 series, Vitralit UD 8060 F offers a particularly soft, flexible bond that can absorb mechanical stresses well. This property makes the adhesive ideal for bonding materials with different thermal expansion coefficients or for applications in which vibration loads can occur. Vitralit UD 8060 F is a transparent UV adhesive that also has fluorescent marking for easy visual quality control. Like all Panacol adhesives, Vitralit UD 8060 F is RoHS-compliant and free from heavy metals and phthalates. As a subsidiary of UV equipment manufacturer Dr. Hönle, Panacol has UV equipment perfectly matched to its adhesive, such as spot, line and area lamps, as well as UV chambers and conveyor belt systems. As a system provider, Hönle has a UV meter to measure the intensity and dose, thus enabling its customers to achieve a stable curing process.
