At the most recent board meeting in Bad Hersfeld, the board of the VDMA General Air Technology Association co-opted three new members: Udo Laeis, Ralf Wagner and Mathias Wolpiansky.

Udo Laeis, Viessmann Refrigeration Solutions GmbH, was newly appointed to the Executive Board. The refrigeration engineer and graduate in Energy and Heating Technologies has been CSO of the company since 2020. Previously, he worked at Linde Refrigeration, among others, and most recently as General Manager for the DACH region in the Carrier Commercial Refrigeration division. Also new to the Executive Board is Ralf Wagner, CTO of LTG Aktiengesellschaft. A graduate in aerospace engineering, he has worked for LTG since 1994 and was appointed to the company's Executive Board in 2021, where he is responsible for technology. He is chairman of the board of the Forschungsvereinigung für Luft- und Trocknungstechnik e.V. (FLT) and a member of the FGK Fachverband Gebäude-Klima e.V. technical committee. Mathias Wolpiansky, managing director of Punker GmbH since January 2022, was also appointed to the board of Allgemeine Lufttechnik. The industrial engineer has held various management positions in the past, including at Oerlikon, Jenoptik and as Managing Director of DMG MORI Additive GmbH. Robert Hild, Managing Director of General Air Technology at VDMA, welcomed the new board members at the board meeting: "I would like to extend a warm welcome to all new board members. The General Air Technology Association represents the interests of refrigeration and heat pump technology, air conditioning and ventilation technology, air pollution control, surface technology and drying technology. It is of great concern to me that all areas are equally well represented on the board and you contribute to this. I look forward to working with you in the future." And Hild also thanked the board members who left during the year: "My warmest thanks go to Dr. Bähren, Mr. Hartmann and Mr. Straßburger, for their many years of service on the board of our trade association. Together with you, we were able to advance important industry issues and set the course for the future." Jörg Straßburger, former managing director of Viessmann Kältetechnik Deutschland Vertriebs GmbH & Co. KG, ended his active professional career in mid-July 2022 after eight years with the company. Also leaving the company is Dr. Henning Bähren, former Managing Director of Punker GmbH, who moved to the company's Advisory Board at his own request after his 65th birthday. And Wolf Hartmann is also no longer available to the Executive Board of Allgemeine Lufttechnik. The former CEO of LTG left the company at the end of March and has since been working as an interim manager and consultant.
