Mipa at Automechanika 2026: The Future of Digital Paint Mixing
For three decades, Mipa SE has been showcasing the latest innovations for professional paint shops at Automechanika. This year, the focus is on the future of digital color mixing.
The focus of Mipa’s booth at this year’s Automechanika is the forward-looking “Smart Mixing” concept. Mipa demonstrates how modern color measurement, intelligent software, artificial intelligence, and automated mixing technology can be integrated into a seamless digital workflow. The goal is to simplify workflows, save time, and at the same time ensure the highest color precision and reproducible results. To this end, Mipa is presenting a software solution that enables location-independent color measurement, evaluation, formula selection, and color mixing. The color can be measured directly on the vehicle, and the measurement data can then be transferred via the cloud to a mobile device or workstation. Formula selection and mixing then take place independently of the measurement location—a significant gain in flexibility, efficiency, and process organization in modern paint shops.
Mipa Solutions at Automechanika 2026
In addition to the new software, Mipa is showcasing its complete Smart Mixing concept with fully and semi-automatic mixing systems. The fully automatic Mipa CR 4 and CR 6 tinting machines use volumetric dosing technology and enable highly precise mixtures starting at a minimum quantity of just 0.01 g. As a semi-automatic alternative, the Mipa Sunrace offers precise dosing directly from the original bottles of Mipa WBC mixing paints—without the need for decanting and with clear visual user guidance. Combined with intelligent color measurement and innovative software, this creates a fully digitized mixing process that combines precision, cost-effectiveness, and process reliability. Mipa also presents innovative solutions for digital color matching in the industrial coating sector. In conjunction with the Pro Mix Industry and Pro Mix Aqua paint mixing systems, the X-Rite MA 5C color measuring device—which is already standard equipment in automotive repair shops—is used. In addition, Mipa showcases the diverse design possibilities of modern effect colors. Mipa also provides information on additional solutions for cost-effective and sustainable painting processes. The focus is on energy-saving systems as well as products that ensure a high level of application reliability even at high temperatures, thereby meeting the changing requirements of modern paint shops. Mipa will be exhibiting at Automechanika from September 8 to 12, 2026, at Booth F.02-F.04 in Hall 11.1.
