Member of the Bundestag Hubertus Heil visits Galvanotechnik Kessel

Galvanotechnik Kessel received a visit from Hubertus Heil, Member of the German Bundestag. MdB Heil visited the electroplating company in mid-December 2024 to find out about the current challenges and prospects.
The meeting between MdB Hubertus Heil and Galvanotechnik Kessel was the agreed follow-up date to Heil's visit in summer 2024. The focus was on reducing bureaucracy for SMEs, lowering the industrial electricity price and promoting PV systems and storage options. "The energy transition must go hand in hand with reducing the burden on companies. Projects such as the planned PV system at Galvanotechnik Kessel are essential for a sustainable economy and show how companies can contribute to the energy transition. At the same time, we need to reduce the bureaucratic burden for such projects," emphasized Heil in the interview.
The effects of bureaucracy on SMEs also slow down companies in their day-to-day business. The management explained how regulations often present major hurdles in practice. Heil promised to take these concerns on board and incorporate them into the political dialog. "It is of existential importance for Germany as a business location that politics and business build bridges together and jointly take the difficult path into the future. Only together will we retain our economic strength as a nation. We are facing up to the challenges that have always made our country strong. Galvanotechnik Kessel is 100 percent convinced of Germany as a business location," explained Managing Partner Marc Schreckenberg. Galvanotechnik Kessel GmbH & Co. KG has been an important player in the region for over 55 years and is active in sectors such as the automotive and electrical industries as well as mechanical engineering and energy technology.
