Mankiewicz Coatings at the PaintExpo 2026: Simplifying coating processes

At PaintExpo 2026, Mankiewicz Coatings will be demonstrating how the new generation of Alexit High Build Monolyer simplifies coating processes, reduces material and energy consumption and ensures quality even when skilled labor is in short supply.
European manufacturers are under increasing pressure from international competition: costs, lead times and delivery capacity are increasingly becoming the deciding factors for orders. At the same time, there is a lack of qualified specialist personnel in the coating industry. With the new generation of the Alexit High Build Monolyer, Mankiewicz Coatings is addressing precisely these challenges. The further development of the monolayer is aimed at simplifying coating processes in industrial production - without compromising on protection and appearance. In many applications, multi-layer structures lead to additional work steps, higher material usage and further drying phases - increasing throughput times and costs. The Alexit High Build Monolyer is a direct-to-metal solution that provides corrosion protection and meets the highest surface requirements of OEMs in a single process step. A high solids content, low VOC values and optimized drying process reduce material and energy consumption - and thus lower the costs per coated square metre. For European production sites, this means less process complexity and more output per layer - particularly relevant for high volumes and tight cost pressure in an international comparison.
Single-layer coating system simplifies industrial production
The Alexit High Build Monolyer follows a modular principle and can be tailored precisely to different industrial requirements - depending on the substrate, component geometry, desired surface and process conditions. Extensive color and effect options are available for the design. In addition, the single-layer can be integrated into existing production environments with little adaptation effort. Stable, reproducible results contribute to reliable processes in the production line and thus support the competitiveness of European manufacturers. The labor market remains tight: In Germany, 54,000 training positions remained unfilled last year. Skilled trades, including painters and varnishers, are particularly affected. This increases the importance of robust, reliable systems for industrial painting processes - even with changing teams. "European manufacturers need to make their processes faster and more reliable in order to remain internationally competitive. This is exactly where our Alexit High Build Monolyer comes in: one order, less complexity, stable results," says Tilman Richers, Executive Managing Director - Head of Sales General Industry Coatings at Mankiewicz. "In addition, our decades of experience in automation help us to continuously optimize our coating systems," emphasizes Richers. At PaintExpo 2026, anyone interested can find out more about the benefits of the coating system and its applications at stand 1319 in hall 1.
