L&R Kältetechnik receives TOP 100 seal for refrigeration technology innovation

L&R Kältetechnik GmbH & Co. KG is one of the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany. In its 35th anniversary year, the family-owned company receives the prestigious TOP 100 seal.
For L&R, the award of the Top 100 seal marks a special milestone in the 35th year of the company's history. "Since our foundation, we have pursued a clear goal: to make refrigeration technology more efficient, more sustainable and more economical," explains the management team, consisting of Sebastian Rüßmann (CFO), André Rüßmann (CTO), company founder Burkhard Rüßmann and Thomas Imenkämper (Managing Director Sales). Sebastian Rüßmann emphasizes: "For us, innovation is not a short-term project, but part of our corporate DNA. Efficiency, operational reliability and the consistent use of natural refrigerants are the result of continuous development work and long-term strategic decisions." Technologically, L&R is constantly opening up new fields of application - from large industrial refrigeration systems to energy-efficient heat pump systems and integration into modern energy infrastructures.
Innovations in refrigeration technology
André Rüßmann adds: "Every single system involves individual engineering effort. This requirement enables us to implement even complex customer requirements economically." The sales department also sees innovative strength as a key success factor. Imenkämper comments: "Our customers are facing major challenges - rising energy prices, regulatory requirements and the desire for greater sustainability. Innovative technology must therefore not only pay off technically, but also economically. This is exactly what we work on every day in close dialog with the market." In addition to its core industrial business, L&R has been driving forward another innovative business area under the "Art of Cryo" brand since 2020. The development of high-precision whole-body cooling systems and other applications demonstrates the company's broad understanding of innovation. Despite international projects, L&R remains closely connected to its home in Sauerland. Development, production and training continue to take place at the site in Sundern-Hachen. "For us, 35 years is not an end, but a foundation," says the management. "The TOP 100 award is an incentive for us to consistently continue on our path - with innovation from the Sauerland region for international markets."
