Kansai Helios Consolidates Production of Architectural Paints in the Adriatic Region

Kansai Helios is realigning its production of architectural paints in the Adriatic region. Going forward, manufacturing, research, and development will be more heavily concentrated at sites in Slovenia and Serbia. Production at the Zagreb site in Croatia will be phased out.
Kansai Helios is restructuring its production network for the Architectural Coatings business unit in the Adriatic region. The goal of this initiative is to more closely integrate research and development, production, and technological capabilities, and to enhance the company’s efficiency and innovative strength. The restructuring will be implemented gradually over the coming years. In the future, the sites in Količevo, Slovenia, and Gornji Milanovac, Serbia, will play central roles within the production network. The Slovenian site is to be expanded into a center of excellence with integrated development and a high level of technical expertise. Gornji Milanovac will be strengthened as a scalable production site to support regional supply and further growth.
Reorganization of Kansai Helios’s architectural coatings production
As part of the reorganization, production currently based at Chromos boje i lakovi d.d. in Zagreb will be gradually relocated to the existing plants in Slovenia and Serbia. Production at the Zagreb site will thus be phased out gradually. According to the company, the Croatian market remains strategically important and will continue to be served with the full product portfolio through the sales subsidiary Kansai Helios Croatia. According to the company, the transition will be structured to ensure that product quality and delivery capabilities are maintained throughout the entire process. By concentrating production, development resources, and investments more effectively, Kansai Helios aims to improve the predictability, resilience, and scalability of its manufacturing structures. “By more closely integrating research and development, production, and technology, we are strengthening our foundation for long-term success,” said Bastian Krauss, President and CEO of the Kansai Helios Group. The company also announced that it would transparently manage the impact of the restructuring on its employees—particularly in Croatia—and implement the necessary measures in accordance with legal requirements.
