The new modular Hydrostain-Modular stain system from Jordan Lacke will in future replace the familiar Aquastain water-based stains (Aquastain AS 331, Aquastain-Positiv ASP 431 and Aquastain-Color ASC-531), which are gradually being withdrawn from the range.

As with the Aquastain stains from Jordan Lacke, a brand of Plantag Coatings, the new system also allows users to mix all conceivable color shades themselves. The individual components of the new Hydrostain-Modular stain system, i.e. the three available base materials for standard, rustic and positive stains, as well as the dye and pigment solutions that can be combined with each other, offer significantly improved light stability, more brilliant color shades or increased transparency compared to the previous Aquastain materials, depending on the application. In order to continue to give users the option of mixing stain shades that have already been discontinued, despite the change in range, Plantag's colorimetry department has recreated the old Aquastain stain card collection with the new Hydrostain Modular stain system. To do this, all the card shades that were shown on the Aquastain stain cards were retired in order to be able to exactly recreate the formulations with the new Hydrostain-Modular components.

Color shades of add-on parts to already manufactured objects, which are to meet the identical stain tone, can therefore be realized absolutely unproblematically. This means that all card shades of the three Aquastain stain cards can still be easily reproduced with the new Hydrostain materials by mixing the corresponding base with the respective dye and/or pigment solutions according to the specified formulations. In this way, the company creates an absolutely trouble-free product transition to the new development. The formulations of all Aquastain card shades based on the new Hydrostain-Modular components are now available online in the Jordan Lacke Colormix color mixing program. Furthermore, the Aquastain stain cards have also been printed in paper form with the new formulations and are available from Jordan Lacke technical advisors. In addition, the stain cards are available for download in digital form at www.jordanlacke.de in the "Service" section.
