IWG founds Galvano Competence Center with contract electroplating

For Christian Garhöfer, Managing Director of IWG since 2012, the company's third service area, the operation of its own electroplating shop, was a logical step. And so a major milestone for IWG and also for him personally followed after commissioning: the founding of the IWG Galvano Competence Center with the three divisions Chemicals, Lab Solutions and Plating Service. This not only brought the third division, "Plating Service", into being, but also the company's vision of offering complete solutions for electroplating technology. In the fully automated production facility for contract electroplating, which was built to the latest standards, the chemicals developed in in-house laboratories are used - exclusively. The baths can therefore be adapted precisely to the customer's requirements and optimized immediately if necessary.

Full electroplating service with laboratory and contract electroplating

Then as now, bath samples and workpieces are analyzed in the IWG laboratories by employees who are trained and educated to the highest standards. Failure analysis is now carried out in state-of-the-art laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art technologies such as autotitration, ICP spectrometry and a latest-generation FIB-SEM electron microscope. On-site analysis means that results can be obtained not only precisely but also very quickly. The Galvano-Full-Service offers solutions for every challenge in electroplating technology. This has transformed the company from a small laboratory for specialty electroplating chemicals into a full-service provider for all electroplating issues.
