The new Robosandero robot microblasting system from Iepco AG is designed for the automatic and uniform microblasting of cubic or cylindrical workpieces measuring approx. 60 x 60 x 100 mm. The system can be adapted to other sizes and shapes.

The Peenmatic 1000 ZRA Robosandero from Iepco is a microblasting system with up to four individually programmable and adjustable blasting guns as standard. The system consists of two chambers. The gripper head is located in the robot cell, where the pallets with the workpieces are also stored. The second chamber contains the microblasting system, which is equipped with four individually programmable injector microblasting guns and several blow-off nozzles.

The workpieces are loaded manually into the storage system on pallets; two drawers are available for this purpose in the basic version. Optionally with pallet conveyor or pallet stacking box. The robot removes the workpiece individually from the pallet and guides it through a cuff into the microblasting system; a coupling is provided in the cuff, which is coupled by the robot arm before it enters the blasting cabinet and is set down again after the blasting process has been completed. This prevents abrasive and dust from escaping during the blasting process. This system also provides effective protection for the robot arm. The flexible sleeve made of abrasion-resistant material provides the robot arm with sufficient freedom of movement for processing the workpiece. The robot arm executes the programmed blasting movement in the microblasting system. During the blasting process, only the gripper is exposed to the blasting medium. Once the blasting process is complete, the workpiece is thoroughly blown off in the blasting chamber and then placed back on the pallet free of dust and the cycle starts again from the beginning.
