IBA Powder Coatings at PaintExpo 2026: Powder coating for wood-based materials

At Paint Expo 2026, IBA Powder Coatings will present Truefuze, a pioneering, press-cured thermoset powder coating system specially developed for wood-based substrates such as MDF, HDF, plywood and OSB.
Truefuze from IBA Powder Coating combines classic powder coating technology with high-precision press curing for the first time. Coating, curing and surface structuring take place simultaneously in less than a minute. The result: maximum process reliability and precise control of gloss level and feel - from ultra-matt to high-gloss - with virtually unlimited decorative embossing and texturing options. The system is characterized by consistently high performance across all colors and gloss levels and offers excellent scratch, chemical and moisture resistance. Depending on the respective formulation, Truefuze also enables extended functionalities, including: antibacterial surfaces according to ISO 22196, food contact conformity according to EU 10/2011, antistatic or electrically conductive properties (EN 61340) as well as - flame retardant and fire tested solutions according to EN 45545-2.
Use of powder coatings on wood-based materials
With Truefuze, IBA Powder Coatings is significantly expanding the range of applications for powder coatings on wood-based materials and setting new standards in surface quality, design freedom and functional performance. Visitors to Paint Expo 2026 are invited to experience innovation at the IBA Powder Coatings stand. A special highlight is the IBA Color Box: an eye-catching 3D presentation that impressively demonstrates the variety of IBA special effect powder coatings and creative design options. The company's R&D experts will be on hand to provide personal advice on customized surface solutions, even for complex components. IBA Powder Coatings will also be presenting new design series with high-quality metallic powders, produced using the exclusive Premium Bond process. Current design catalogs are available at booth 3619 in hall 3.
