Hürner Luft- und Umwelttechnik GmbH (HLU) develops and manufactures custom supply and exhaust air systems as a one-stop provider. Exhaust air scrubbers, heat exchangers, and plastic fans are specifically designed for exhaust air contaminated with chemicals.

Exhaust air contaminated with acids, alkalis, and other aggressive substances is a daily occurrence in surface treatment facilities. At the same time, requirements for energy efficiency, workplace safety, and environmental protection are increasing. Operators must reliably capture and treat pollutants and reduce the energy consumption of their facilities. Corrosion-resistant materials and application-specific design help ensure process reliability, plant availability, and energy efficiency over the long term. Industrial exhaust air streams hold significant energy potential. By using chemically resistant heat exchangers from HLU, this heat can be recovered even when dealing with aggressive media and used, for example, to heat the supply air. This reduces heating energy and operating costs while simultaneously lowering CO₂ emissions.

Exhaust Air Treatment and Heat Recovery

Exhaust air scrubbers reliably remove gaseous pollutants from process exhaust air. The design is customized to meet specific process requirements and takes into account both the required separation capacity and energy-efficient system operation. Each application has different requirements regarding air volume, pollutant load, temperature, and material resistance. For this reason, exhaust air scrubbers, heat recovery systems, and fans are considered as an integrated system and coordinated with one another. Corrosion-resistant plastics enable long-term use even with aggressive media. This results in durable systems that increase process reliability, reduce downtime, and support energy-efficient operation in the long term. Hürner Luft- und Umwelttechnik GmbH (HLU) manufactures custom supply and exhaust air systems and will be exhibiting at Booth 46 at the ZVO Surface Technology Days 2026.
