Heraeus Noblelight is acquired by Excelitas Technologies

Excelitas Technologies will acquire 100 percent of the shares in Heraeus Noblelight. The Heraeus Group has signed a definitive agreement to sell its specialty lighting business Heraeus Noblelight to US-based Excelitas Technologies Corp. of Waltham, Massachusetts.
The sale of Heraeus Noblelight is expected to close by the end of 2023, subject to customary closing conditions and receipt of required regulatory approvals. Heraeus Noblelight is one of the global market and technology leaders for specialty light sources in the wavelength range from ultraviolet to infrared. The company develops and manufactures lamps, emitters and systems with a high level of vertical integration. They are used in analytical measurement technology, in industrial processes such as drying, hardening or molding, in medical technology and in the disinfection and treatment of air and water. Heraeus Noblelight is headquartered in Kleinostheim, Germany, and operates production facilities in Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, China and Japan, as well as sales units in Europe and parts of Southeast Asia. The company employs approximately 850 people.
