Henkel Adhesive Technologies presents Supplier Awards 2022
Henkel Adhesive Technologies has honored the achievements of its strategic partners with the Supplier Awards 2022. With this annual award ceremony, the business sector recognizes the close and successful cooperation along its value chains.
This year, BASF, Wanhua and Wacker were recognized by Henkel in the three categories of sustainability, innovation and delivery performance. In addition, Henkel awarded a special recognition to Dow Chemicals for the first time. "Close collaboration with our strategic suppliers and partners is a key success factor in driving sustainable innovation and creating value for our customers," said Jan-Dirk Auris, Executive Vice President Henkel Adhesive Technologies. "Especially in today's volatile markets characterized by strong pressure on global supply chains, our long-standing and robust partnerships are of utmost importance to our business success. We would like to thank all of our suppliers for their strong commitment over the past year and recognize exceptional efforts and outstanding performance with our awards ceremony." After a two-year hiatus in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the awards ceremony was once again held at a face-to-face event at Henkel headquarters in Düsseldorf, Germany. For the occasion, Adhesive Technologies invited its strategic partners to the new Inspiration Center Düsseldorf, which was officially inaugurated in September, to demonstrate its new capabilities for innovation and collaboration and to promote open exchange in the future.
Henkel's Sustainability Award was presented to BASF SE. In 2022, the company demonstrated outstanding performance and a strong commitment to shared sustainability goals - circular economy, environmental sustainability and improved safety. BASF has continuously developed the joint portfolio of sustainable innovations and expanded its certified sustainable offering for Henkel. The Innovation Award went to Chinese supplier Wanhua. The company has continuously proven to be a strong innovation partner over the past years. In 2022, the collaboration resulted in the largest innovation pipeline and enabled Henkel to launch new products in the sports and fashion and industrial electronics markets. The Operational Excellence Award was presented to Wacker Chemie AG for Wacker's outstanding delivery performance in a challenging market environment. The company achieved consistent, world-class service levels with excellent results in 'On-Time' and 'In-Full' deliveries. Henkel Adhesive Technologies presented a special award to Dow Chemical for the first time. This special recognition was given for exceptional support on a strategic project that has underlined and further strengthened the strong and long-standing partnership between the companies.
