Heinz Leuze Prize 2023 awarded

The prestigious Heinz Leuze Prize 2023 was awarded to Prof. Bertram Reinhold from Audi. He won the award, which comes with a prize money of 2,000 euros, for an article on mixed construction in car manufacturing.
In the summer of 2022, Prof. Bertram Reinhold published the technical article "Challenges for surface technology: mixed construction in automotive engineering" in the trade journal Galvanotechnik, addressing the challenges posed by lightweight construction and the application in mixed construction. He was honored for this at the ZVO Surface Days 2023 by Britta Kraft, the daughter of publishing director and managing director of Leuze Verlag, Sylvia Leuze-Reichert, and Prof. Andreas Bund.
The Heinz Leuze Prize has been awarded since 1985 for publications in German-language journals with a particularly clear and didactic presentation of a significant technical-scientific problem in the field. It is named after Heinz Leuze, the son of the founder of the publishing house, Eugen G. Leuze. He headed Leuze Verlag, which was active in electroplating, surface and printed circuit board technology, until 1983.
