Hartmut Herdin from fairXperts passes away
Hartmut Herdin passed away unexpectedly on November 13, 2024 at the age of 70. Herdin was Managing Director of the private trade fair organizer fairXperts and co-founder and head of the office of the trade association FiT e.V.
With his company fairXperts GmbH & Co. KG, Hartmut Herdin has organized numerous conferences in the field of parts cleaning and deburring technology. He is regarded as the inventor of the Parts2clean trade fair and founded and organized DeburringExpo, the leading international trade fair for deburring technologies and precision surfaces, which is set to become Parts Finishing in 2025.
Herdin was also head of the office of the German Industrial Parts Cleaning Association (FiT) for many years, served on its board for many years and was a founding member of the association. As the FiT reported in an initial statement, he contributed a great deal to the success of the association. The FiT also acknowledges his tireless commitment to component cleaning, which he helped shape for almost 25 years. In September 2024, Hartmut Herdin organized the association's 20th anniversary event with the 32nd Industrial Component Cleaning Conference in Dresden. Herdin is survived by his wife Rita, two adult children and five grandchildren.
