Gravitech, Met-at-lab and Brenscheidt Galvanik cooperate

Gravitech and Met-at-lab are intensifying their cooperation with the aim of specifically addressing production-related analysis laboratories in electroplating technology. The cooperation is complemented by Brenscheidt Galvanik Service with its Labor Brenscheidt brand.
Together, the partners Gravitech Gesellschaft für Analysentechnik mbH. Met-at-lab GmbH and Brenscheidt Galvanik Service GmbH as service providers and suppliers of robust, practical laboratory solutions in the immediate production environment. A first visible impulse of the cooperation is the joint trade fair appearance at SurfaceTechnology Germany 2025 at the joint stand of the German Surface Technology Association (ZVO) in Stuttgart. The aim of the cooperation is to cover the analytical requirements of electroplating companies holistically - from daily bath monitoring and practical test procedures to training, consulting and external verification. The focus is explicitly on practicability in everyday production. "In our experience, production-related analysis in electroplating does not fail due to a lack of measurement technology, but due to a lack of robustness, a lack of training and unclear responsibilities," explains Oliver Brenscheidt, Managing Director of Brenscheidt Galvanik Service GmbH. "With Gravitech and Met-at-lab, we are deliberately bundling equipment expertise, practical test procedures and independent technical evaluation. The aim is to set up production laboratories in such a way that they function in everyday life - and can be supplemented by external monitoring if required."
Gravitech devices analyze galvanic electrolytes
Gravitech is contributing an established device concept for the robust and easy-to-use analysis of galvanic electrolytes to the collaboration. The focus is on classic, proven methods such as titration and gravimetry, which are specifically designed for use in production laboratories. In addition, Gravitech provides a training laboratory in the Rhine-Main area. "Our customers expect analysis that is reliable, comprehensible and reproducible in the production environment," emphasizes Dr. Elke Spahn, Managing Director of Gravitech Gesellschaft für Analysentechnik mbH. "The collaboration with Met-at-lab and Labor Brenscheidt makes it possible to consistently combine equipment, methods and user expertise. In electroplating technology in particular, this creates a practice-oriented approach that goes far beyond simply supplying equipment." Met-at-lab complements the portfolio with products, know-how and accessories for the Hull cell test. The Hull cell test is a key tool for assessing deposition conditions, current density distributions and bath conditions and is particularly important for troubleshooting and process optimization. Met-at-lab focuses on standardized, tried-and-tested solutions for daily use in the laboratory.
Brenscheidt Galvanik Service as a mediating authority
Brenscheidt Galvanik Service GmbH deliberately acts as an independent intermediary within the cooperation. Under the Labor Brenscheidt brand, it offers training for laboratory and plant personnel, consulting services for setting up or converting production laboratories as well as external inspections, plausibility assessments and mediation for technical issues. The joint offer is aimed at both existing production laboratories and companies wishing to set up or professionalize their analytical structures. The partners see the collaboration as a long-term initiative with the aim of strengthening production-related analysis in electroplating and clearly differentiating between series control, process support and external quality assurance.
