Graepel as a manufacturer of cold formed sheet metal components has presented its annual balance sheet for the fiscal year 2022. The family-owned company looks back on a very good business year, sales revenues increased from 109 to almost 139 million euros.

Once again, the family-owned company run by brothers Carlo and Felix Graepel can look back on a very good financial year. The sales revenues of the manufacturer, which produces in five plants on three continents, increased from 109 to almost 139 million euros. This is the highest figure in the company's 134-year history. Earnings before taxes also improved significantly. The good order situation is reflected in the number of employees: As of December 31, 2022, the company had 781 employees and 50 trainees, two thirds of them in the industrial sector. With these annual financial statements, the sheet metal specialist stands out from the rest of the industry. Like other industries, the metalworking sector continues to face economic challenges: Corona, the Ukraine war and, last but not least, the energy and labor markets in transition create a difficult market environment and put particular strain on supply chains. However, Graepel has so far been able to counteract this effectively through a series of compensatory measures, forward-looking planning, and sales successes.

The investment in foreign markets, particularly in North America and Asia, which was stepped up from 2006 onwards, is increasingly paying off. Graepel now generates just over half of its sales outside Germany, and the trend is rising. Air grilles, structural parts and other products for commercial vehicles, agricultural and construction machinery account for 73 percent of sales. Products for structural metalwork, including profiled metal gratings and stairs, form the second mainstay. Graepel has concentrated production of these products at its Seehausen site in the Altmark region. For 2023, the manufacturer is expecting a further increase and is thus looking to the future with confidence.
