Gemac invests in coating machines for sensitive electronics

Gemac invests in a state-of-the-art coating machine that can be used to coat sensitive electronics with protective lacquer. The silicone-based coating effectively protects electronic assemblies from environmental influences.
Highly sensitive electronics are often exposed to moisture, dirt, strong temperature fluctuations or vibrations on a daily basis. Protective paint coatings are essential to prevent subsequent malfunctions or failures. For this reason, Gemac Chemnitz GmbH invested in a new high-quality coating machine in 2024 and specializes in selective coating with silicone-based lacquer. This coating seals the electronic assembly, effectively protecting the sensitive electronics from environmental influences. The MYC10 from Mycronic is a flexible, three-axis robot with tilt and rotate function that is suitable for virtually any selective coating application. The MYC10 features a robust overhead motion platform with servo motors and precision ball screws. With its compact, table-based design and generous working area, it enables the precise coating of even complex PCBs.
The flexibility of the multi-axis control makes it possible to reliably coat even demanding PCBs. The MYC10 is equipped with an industrial computer. Thanks to its robust frame structure and advanced motion control systems, it offers the ideal combination of speed and precision for a wide range of coating requirements. The result is a high-performance platform that is easy to program and operate, yet powerful enough to meet the growing demands for complexity and automation in production. This gives us as a manufacturer more opportunities to meet the production challenges of tomorrow. With this investment, Gemac Chemnitz GmbH is ideally equipped to meet the increasing demands of the electronics industry and to offer reliable protective coatings for sensitive electronic assemblies.
