Further training courses for wood processors will once again be offered by paint manufacturer Adler in 2025. The seminars will be held at four Adler locations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The thematic focus in 2025 will once again be on water-based coatings.

The training courses offered by Adler's paint experts take place regularly at four locations: The newly built Adler bases in Herford (Germany) and Austria's capital Vienna are perfectly designed for seminars with their spacious training rooms and state-of-the-art technical equipment. In Switzerland, the base in Tuggen is also an ideal contact point for all training fans. The Adler Academy in Schwaz, Tyrol, at Adler's headquarters, also offers extensive opportunities to learn new skills and improve existing ones.

Seminars on water-based paints, stains and oils

The focus in 2025 will continue to be on water-based paints: As an expert from the very beginning, Adler will be on hand to help interested companies and those responsible for surfaces with the seminar "From solvent to water: switching made easy". Together, various aspects of the changeover are examined and the first steps are taken to ensure successful processing of water-based paints. Of course, this issue - or any other desired coating issue - can also be addressed as part of an individual on-site coaching session. "Our experts are happy to come directly to the company and address any special requests," emphasizes Peter Stecher, Head of the Woodworking Division at Adler. The training program also includes creative surface design with stains and effect varnishes or natural wood finishing with oils or waxes.

Advancement opportunities for seminar participants

It is also once again possible to pave the way to becoming a specialist expert by attending a seminar at Adler: For example, graduates of the "With Adler to master painter" course leave the company with their official "license to paint". The painter's certificate of suitability for the industrial coating of wooden windows and doors will also be offered again together with the German Paint Industry Association. Coloristics enthusiasts can explore the finer points of colorimetry. And last but not least, there will be plenty of exciting things to discover on the subject of exterior wood protection, including fire protection, as well as innovations in front door and window coating, the latter including renovation with the new Adler Histo-System, which will take participants one step further up the career ladder. For wood processors who register before December 31, 2024, participation is free of charge for one person per company. The only exceptions are the individual training courses and the painter's certificate of aptitude, for which a fee of €75 is charged for the certificate issued by the VDL.
