Evident's new PRECiV 1.2 software release comes with enhanced imaging and measurement capabilities for efficient manufacturing processes, quality control and testing. In the new version, powerful features have been added to accelerate and optimize workflows of testing, product evaluation and measurement in quality control, in the examination room and for R&D.

Evident's PRECiV software, introduced in 2022, has quickly become a reliable imaging and measurement solution in manufacturing processes. As the successor to Olympus Stream software, PRECiV version 1.2 supports various imaging methods, such as brightfield, darkfield, polarization and all standard imaging methods, using Olympus and selected third-party products. New manual and automated modes make it easy to acquire panoramic or extended focus images of samples with or without motorization, and to perform simple 3D profile measurements. The Materials Solutions software has dedicated workflows to perform measurements according to international norms and standards and directly export standardized and application-specific reports. Additional features such as time-lapse, XY positions and 3D image batch capture provide flexibility in evaluating samples. The macro acquisition option can simplify workflows by automating routine tasks and improving measurement repeatability. In addition, TruAI technology is integrated into the software, allowing quick and easy analysis of complex images. Artificial neural networks can be used for image segmentation, allowing AI to distinguish features in a sample that could not be captured by analytical solutions alone.

The software and workstations can be connected to a network for security updates and secure data transfer. Standardized reports for Microsoft Office applications allow for easy and reliable data transfer. The software's intuitive user interface displays only the most important functions, organized by application, so operators can work with focus. PRECiV software can control all Olympus microscope cameras, as well as select third-party Z-focus drives and motorized stages. It gives operators the control they need over automated inspections and workflows in Materials Solutions and features a macro acquisition option, AI technology and network connectivity.
