The largest European Coatings Show (ECS) of all time will open its doors at the Exhibition Center Nuremberg from 25 to 27 March 2025. The trade fair offers a platform for industry participants from the coatings and paint industry to make new business contacts and network.

Whether coatings, printing inks, laboratory, production, testing or measuring technology, adhesives or construction chemical materials - trade visitors can look forward to specialist suppliers from all over the world and an extensive range of products and services at the European Coatings Show 2025. The highly international nature of the event, with over 1,200 exhibitors from more than 60 countries, underlines its global significance. The partly parallel European Coatings Show Conference will offer space for intensive knowledge transfer with over 140 presentations from March 24 to 26. The European Coatings Show occupies a total of eight exhibition halls, six of which are dedicated exclusively to coating raw materials, printing ink raw materials, adhesive raw materials, construction chemical precursors and related services. Hall 4 is all about laboratory and production technology, testing and measuring technology, application technology as well as environmental protection and occupational safety. Hall 4 A combines all product segments.

Digital highlight: My ECS

The new My ECS platform offers visitors and exhibitors comprehensive information about the trade fair, all exhibitors and presentations. With seamless integration into the ECS app, visitors can prepare their visit to the trade fair perfectly and, thanks to the scan function, do without physical business cards. All information on exhibitors and products can also be found online.

Premiere World Paint and Coatings Week during the ECS

For the first time in history, the global paint and coatings industry will come together as part of World Paint and Coatings Week - an initiative of the World Coatings Council (WCC). The event will take place from March 24 to 28, 2025 and will coincide with the European Coatings Show and the European Coatings Show Conference in Nuremberg. This provides a unique opportunity for industry experts to share the latest developments, innovations and regulatory trends. By bringing together industry experts, researchers and policy makers, the week serves as a platform to discuss key challenges such as climate protection, resource efficiency and the transition to bio-based materials. A reception for World Coatings Week will take place on 25 March 2025 at 15:00 in the Exhibition Center Nuremberg, Mitte entrance area, at the Coffee Point Mitte.

European Coatings Show Conference with ECS Conference Award

On March 24, interested parties can already prepare for the two-and-a-half-day European Coatings Conference in the pre-conference tutorials. The top-class program starts on 24 March and offers developers and engineers plenty of scope for knowledge transfer in over 140 presentations. There are two keynote speakers this year. Dr. Frank Brouwer, specialist for renewable chemistry at Stahl, with his lecture "The Impossible Project: A Journey of Transformation" will present the most important changes in the coatings industry and Prof. Katja Loos from the University of Groningen, with the keynote "Designing renewable dynamic polymers for circular and advanced applications", who will present her current research results on bio-based polymers. The highlight of the conference is the presentation of the ECS Conference Award. The award, which is endowed with 2,000 euros, recognizes the best scientific and technical presentation and will be presented on 24 March at 12:45 p.m. in the Tokio room of the exhibition center. The Poster Session with the Students Award Ceremony from 17:00 to 18:30 in the Foyer St. Petersburg will round off the first day of the conference.
