EPG: Sol-gel technology and nanoparticle coating for fittings
By using sol-gel technology and nanoparticles, EPG AG has succeeded in further developing the coating system for fittings. The company will be showcasing its coating technology at SurfaceTechnology GERMANY.
In the faucet sector today, it is not only the colors that are of decisive importance to the customer, but also the anti-scale, anti-fingerprint properties or the scratch resistance of the surface. EPG AG has succeeded in further developing the coating system for fittings by using sol-gel technology and nanoparticles: Chrome or PVD layers can be coated with the desired colors and properties.
On a technical basis, it is therefore possible to replace or improve PVD. The base materials used in sol-gel technology are toxicologically harmless and can be used on metal or plastic components. With EPG coatings, it is possible to finally combine the desired colors and functionalities. EPG will be exhibiting at SurfaceTechnology GERMANY on stand number H47 in hall 1.
