Eisenmann with hybrid gripper for wheel handling in paint shops

Eisemann GmbH has launched the new hybrid gripper E-Gripper Wheel for the automated handling of wheels in paint shops. The solution will be presented as a new product at PaintExpo 2026.
With a new hybrid gripper for wheels, the internationally active plant manufacturer Eisenmann is addressing the increasing automation requirements of modern production facilities and is focusing on intelligent integration concepts for robot and application technology. According to the manufacturer, the E-Gripper Wheel is designed for precise yet particularly gentle gripping of wheels in paint shops and is suitable for both sensitive surfaces and robust workpieces. With experience from more than 200 installed applications worldwide, the company is contributing its process expertise to a solution that supports both efficiency and sustainability in the paint shop. The aim is to make production processes more energy-efficient while ensuring a high level of process stability.
Precise and gentle wheel handling in the paint shop
The design of the hybrid gripper is based on a modular concept that covers the standard wheel sizes of vehicles with combustion engines as well as the requirements of electric vehicles. The gripper modules are guided precisely via low-maintenance linear guides. Eisemann focuses on flexibility when it comes to drive technology: the gripper can be pneumatically controlled or alternatively operated with an electric servo drive. Conversion is possible depending on production capacity and performance requirements. For powder coating applications, the system has a closed housing in which all moving components are integrated, which increases process reliability. Due to its low weight, the E-Gripper Wheel is compatible with standard robot models from leading manufacturers and can be integrated into existing system concepts. Eisenmann will be exhibiting at PaintExpo 2025 in Hall 1, Stand 1120.
