Effect powder coatings Melted Metal new at IGP

Melted Metal effect powder coatings are the latest innovation from IGP Powder Coatings. The powder coatings enable sophisticated metallic reproduction and thus open up completely new possibilities for the design of facades and in the design sector.
The new Melted Metal powder coatings from IGP give every object a metallic sheen of incomparable brilliance and make it an eye-catcher. They open up new aesthetic dimensions that are timeless and at the same time meet the highest technical demands. From gold and copper to chrome steel and polished aluminum - the possibilities are endless. The IGP effect paints, based on the proven, highly weather-resistant IGP-HWFclassic basecoat from the 59 series, offer long-term color and chalking resistance and meet the highest standards in accordance with Qualicoat (class 2) and AAMA 2604. The patented metal interference pigment system allows the color tone and metallic sheen of valuable coin metals and their alloys to be reproduced in a sophisticated manner. These alloys are made up of the elements gold, copper and silver. The subtle difference is that no (semi-)precious metals are required for the valuable surfaces. Chrome steel, polished aluminium and elegant shades from the anodized colour range can also be convincingly reproduced. Melted Metal noble lacquers have exceptional properties. Their technical profile allows new accents in terms of color saturation, opacity and color space, for facade and design applications.
The increased scratch resistance of powder coatings offers a number of advantages in application. Safety when handling coated surfaces during transportation or installation is improved, as the surfaces are less susceptible to scratches. The surfaces are also better protected against matting cleaning marks. Whether for basic or maintenance cleaning, the increased scratch resistance of the powder coatings improves the durability as well as the aesthetic value of the object. The powder coatings are available in smooth, matt and semi-gloss qualities. Melted metal powder coatings are based on so-called UTP technology (ultra-thin pigment technology). Due to its minimized particle thickness and high optical effectiveness, UTP technology contributes significantly to an optimized use of resources. The thin-film effect particles, which are perfectly reproducible in terms of size and thickness ratio, are coated with silicon silicate and stabilized. This prevents the metal substrates from tarnishing due to oxidation and ensures optimum moisture and weather stability. Melted metal enamels are suitable for product selection with regard to various green building labels. The energy-efficient curing of the paint at temperatures from 170 °C, the absence of solvents (VOC) and the use of formaldehyde-free formulations make the powder coatings an environmentally friendly option for sustainable building planning. The product group has an Environmental Product Declaration, certified by the Institut für Bauen und Umwelt e.V. (EPD-IGP-20220255-IAC1-DE).
