ECS: Coperion, Baker Perkins & Kemutec with products for powder coating production
At the European Coatings Show 2025 (ECS), Coperion, together with Baker Perkins and Kemutec, will present a multi-faceted product portfolio for the production of high-quality powder coatings. Baker Perkins and Kemutec have recently been integrated into the Coperion family.
Coperion, Baker Perkins and Kemutec continue to supply proven individual components, from feeding, weighing, mixing and dosing of the ingredients, through extrusion, to cooling, grinding and sieving. In addition, together they are now in a position to realize fully integrated systems for powder coating production from a single source. This is because Coperion is presenting itself at the ECS for the first time together with Baker Perkins and Kemutec, two companies newly integrated into the Coperion family. The merger creates a technology provider with a multi-faceted product portfolio for the production of high-quality powder coatings. A PPS air classifier mill from Kemutec will be on display at booth 4-363 during ECS 2025 (March 25 - 27), representing the entire product diversity.
Broad product range for powder coating production
The products from Coperion, Baker Perkins and Kemutec share a common vision: they are based on innovative technologies that offer manufacturers of powder coatings a decisive competitive advantage. For example, feeders from the group of companies are characterized by their high accuracy, excellent accessibility and easy cleanability. The range of twin-screw extruders has also been significantly expanded as a result of the merger. Coperion can now offer both ZSK twin screw extruders with a closed processing section in individual lengths and Baker Perkins extruders with a hinged processing section. The twin screw extruders are all equipped with a high torque. They make it possible to process the ingredients reliably and very gently and to produce powder coatings of very good product quality at high throughput rates. The extruder portfolio covers all system sizes, from small laboratory extruders to production systems.
PPS air classifier mill for grinding powders
Visitors to stand 4-363 will be able to see a PPS air classifier mill from Kemutec, which is ideal for grinding ultra-fine and heat-sensitive powders. Its unique easy-clean design allows operators full and unhindered access to the mill's internal parts and grinding media. The time and effort required for cleaning are extremely low. This allows for quick recipe changes without compromising the high efficiency of the mill's operation.
