DVS Congress 2026 Call for Papers: Submit your contributions
The DVS Congress 2026 invites experts from research, industry and committed young professionals to actively participate in shaping its technical program. Presentation proposals can now be submitted online.
Under the motto "Making knowledge effective", the congress will present itself in 2026 with a revised concept, new interactive formats and a clear thematic focus. The DVS Congress, which will take place in Erlangen next year on September 14 and 15, 2026, is one of the most important specialist conferences for joining, cutting and coating technology in Germany. Under the motto "Making knowledge effective - joining technology as a key technology for Germany", the event will focus on three main topics over two days: AI and digitalization solutions in joining technology, welding and cutting of high-performance materials - with a focus on applications in defence and energy technology, and welding and cutting in steel construction - especially in the "infrastructure" sector.
Contributions wanted for DVS Congress 2026
The aim of the DVS Congress 2026 is to promote the exchange between science, industry and young talent and to create a space for discussion, innovation and networking. Formats such as keynotes, panel discussions, round tables, interactive sessions, poster pitches, match-making offers and the second DVS Science Slam during the congress are available for this purpose. We are looking for contributions from research: results of completed projects, presented in a practical way (short presentations of 10 minutes each); from industry: best practice examples, application experiences and process innovations and from students: Final theses (Bachelor or Master) presented as part of DVS CAMPUS, the event for students at DVS. Papers can only be submitted online until February 16, 2026.
