Dr. Herrmann Joins the Qubus-IFO Group
The Dr. Herrmann testing laboratory has been part of the Qubus-IFO Group since July. With the integration of this specialized facility in Dresden, the IFO Institute for Surface Technology is further expanding its expertise in the areas of laboratory testing, damage analysis, and expert reports.
The Dr. Herrmann testing and certification laboratory will continue to operate as an independent, specialized testing and certification facility and will be integrated into the Qubus-IFO Group’s existing laboratory network to complement its services. For many years, the Dresden-based laboratory has specialized in testing and expert assessment services in the field of powder coating. It possesses particular expertise in testing powder coatings and coating systems, as well as in the analysis and evaluation of damage and defect patterns. The testing laboratory also includes the well-established Powder Symposium, which will be jointly continued by IFO and Qubus in the future. Founder and Managing Director Dr. Thomas Herrmann is handing over the laboratory to the IFO Institute for Surface Technology; he will continue to work as a consultant and remain associated with the Powder Symposium.
Dr. Herrmann’s Testing Laboratory Expands Qubus-IFO’s Range of Services
Through its integration into the Qubus-IFO Group, headquartered in Schwäbisch Gmünd, customers will benefit in the future from an expanded range of testing methods, analytical capabilities, and additional capacities within the group. At the same time, the Dresden location specifically complements the existing service portfolio with specialized testing capabilities in the field of powder coating and powder coatings. “By expanding our laboratory network, we are strengthening our expertise in the field of powder coating and related testing methods,” says Michael Müller, Managing Director of the IFO Institute for Surface Technology. “The Dresden location ideally complements our existing laboratory profile—particularly through its proven expertise in testing powder coatings prior to application.
