Dr. Herrmann GmbH & Co. KG is taken over by IFO/Qubus Group
Dr. Herrmann GmbH & Co. KG will become part of the IFO/Qubus Group from July 2026. The Dresden Powder Symposium will also continue to be organized by the new owner in 2027.
As the current Managing Director Dr. Thomas Herrmann and his wife Hannelore Herrmann announced at the Dresden Powder Symposium 2026, the IFO/Qubus Group will take over Dr. Herrmann GmbH & Co. KG from July 2026. The merger of Dr. Herrmann GmbH & Co. KG with IFO/Qubus is intended to combine the expertise of both companies. According to the company, this will strengthen the joint service portfolio in surface technology - with real added value for customers and partners. For Dr. Herrmann's customers, everything will remain the same: familiar contacts, proven quality and the independent working methods of the laboratory in Dresden will be fully retained. Dr. Herrmann's Dresden expert laboratory offers comprehensive physical and chemical material testing in the fields of coating materials and corrosion protection.
Dresden Powder Symposium to continue under new management
The traditional Dresden Powder Symposium will also be continued - from 2027 under the management of the IFO/Qubus Group. The new owner wants to jointly develop this established event and continue its success story. With the merger, all partners want to send a clear signal of continuity, reliability and sustainability in an industry that is characterized by technological development and a high focus on quality.
