In order to achieve platinum building certification in accordance with the DGNB guidelines, the ecological quality of the building materials is important. Jordan water-based paints achieve DNGB quality level 4 and fall well below the required VOC limits.

DGNB certification from the German Sustainable Building Council is an increasingly important quality feature for sustainable construction projects. In particular, compliance with environmental and health requirements at all levels of construction is becoming increasingly important. The complex catalog of criteria is a challenge not only for architects and planners, but also for tradespeople. The DGNB criteria catalog covers all permanently installed construction elements of a building - including wall and ceiling panelling, stairs, floors and built-in furniture. Carpenters and joiners must increasingly ensure that the materials and coatings they use meet the DGNB's strict requirements. As paints and varnishes form the final layer of a building, they are subject to special requirements in terms of environmental and health compatibility. The DGNB has established itself as the leading certification system for sustainable building in Germany. It does not evaluate individual products according to their sustainability (such as the Blue Angel seal), but entire construction projects according to a variety of criteria. These criteria are designed to take into account the entire life cycle of a building and to minimize the impact on the environment and resources.

DGNB certification is awarded at bronze, silver, gold and platinum levels, with platinum being the highest level. An important prerequisite for achieving the specially promoted platinum building certification is the ecological quality of the building materials. To this end, all products used must be recorded and evaluated in order to achieve the required overall performance of 80% for the entire building. Thanks to the continuous further development of the water-based paint range, Jordan's specially developed 1K and 2K water-based paints meet the highest standards. If a surface is coated in the factory, processors will no longer need to worry about achieving the highest DGNB quality level 4 and thus the specifications for the building project. All Jordan water-based paints fall well below the required VOC limits. Thanks to the high ecological and health standards of Jordan waterborne coatings, construction projects can be optimally aligned with DGNB Gold or Platinum certifications.
