Leaks in compressed air systems drive up energy consumption and costs. Beko Technologies now offers the new Metpoint CID leakage management system. The device precisely detects leaks in the compressed air network and documents them for structured repair.

Beko's Metpoint CID system enables rapid leak detection during operation and even in hard-to-reach areas. At a distance of 0.2 m to 6 m, the leak detector uses a sonic funnel to detect ultrasonic sounds generated by escaping air. Once a leak is found, the integrated camera visually displays its position and size on the screen. In addition, the device uses a laser distance measurement to determine the intensity of the leakage in decibels and automatically calculates the loss of compressed air and the resulting costs. A screen recording is made to store the data. For those who do not want to constantly look at the display during leak detection with Metpoint CID, leaks can also be detected acoustically via headphones. Disturbing ambient noise is masked out in the process.

The integrated software of the Metpoint CID enables clear sorting and storage of the recorded measurement data. Automated reports can be created with just a few clicks. The report in accordance with DIN 50001 contains all the important information and then serves as an optimal preparation for the elimination of the leakages. In the case of closely spaced compressed air lines and in the direct vicinity of leakages, a straightening tube can be used instead of the acoustic cone. This has a small opening area at its tip, which allows the smallest leaks to be located with pinpoint accuracy.
