Changes in the FLT Board and Office

Dr. Sascha Klett, Ziehl Abegg SE, was newly appointed to the board by the general meeting of the Research Association for Air Handling and Drying Technology. According to the decision of the general meeting, Klett will represent the company on the board until the end of the election period after the previous representative of Ziehl Abegg SE, Peter Fenkl, left the company and the FLT board. Other members of the FLT board are Stephan Arnold, ebm-papst Mulfingen GmbH & Co. KG and Gunther Müller, Helios Ventilatoren GmbH & Co. KG. "FLT is well positioned and will sustainably strengthen the innovative power of the industry with its projects," said Wagner in his inaugural speech as the new chairman of the board. At the same time, he acknowledged Fenkl's 20 years of commitment to the FLT board, including 11 years as chairman of the association.

After Harald Gustmann retired at the end of May, Dr. Alexander Schmeink will take over project management at the FLT office. Schmeink is an officer in the VDMA's General Air Handling/Refrigeration and Heat Pump Technology Association as well as in the Forschungsvereinigung Forschungsrat Kältetechnik e.V. In the future, he will be responsible for the technical supervision of the AHU/TGA and fan working groups as well as the project-accompanying committees. In addition, he will be responsible for the planning of project applications. Dietmar Goericke, managing director of FLT, thanked Gustmann, who had been FLT project manager since 2008, during the meeting: "Mr. Gustmann has made a considerable contribution to advancing FLT's pre-competitive joint research over the past 14 years as the association's project manager. For this, our most sincere thanks."
