CemeCon Management Board: Reorganization of responsibilities
CemeCon is realigning the responsibilities on the Management Board and thus setting a new course for the future. Experienced top performers are to ensure continuity and stability at the tool coating specialist.
CEO Dr.-Ing. Oliver Lemmer retired from the CemeCon Management Board on May 1, 2026. As a companion from the very beginning of company founder Dr.-Ing. Toni Leyendecker, Oliver Lemmer was responsible for the organizational and technological excellence of the company from the very beginning before taking over as CEO in 2022. He is now handing over the office and responsibility for the 350 employees worldwide to his long-standing Management Board colleague Dipl.-Ing. Bernd Hermeler. Bernd Hermeler has helped shape the company over the past decades. He has worked in all areas of the company for over 35 years and has distinguished himself as a creative force during this time, from 2000 in various technical and commercial management positions and since 2018 as a member of the Executive Board, initially as CMO and since 2022 as COO of CemeCon. The comprehensive overview and profound knowledge he has acquired in this role will also make a significant contribution to CemeCon's success in his new position.
Targeted strengthening of the CemeCon Management Board
Christoph Feig will take over the position of COO in future, succeeding Bernd Hermeler. The graduate engineer in materials science has many years of experience in technical management functions: He already worked in various technical areas at CemeCon from 2004 to 2010. In the years that followed, he managed large maintenance organizations at leading companies in the steel and aluminium industry. With his extensive management and leadership experience as well as a strong understanding of technical service, Christoph Feig returned to CemeCon in 2024. Since then, he has been specifically prepared for his role as COO as part of a structured onboarding process. Dr. Beate Hüttermann remains CMO and thus continues to be responsible for the areas of sales, product management and marketing. Having worked for the company with various responsibilities since 1987, she has built up CemeCon's global sales and marketing structure over the years and has been successfully driving this forward as a member of the Executive Board since 2022. "Particularly in dynamic times, personnel stability is also a key to success," emphasizes outgoing CEO Oliver Lemmer. "With Bernd Hermeler as the new head and other managers who have internalized our DNA over decades, we guarantee our customers and partners a high level of continuity in terms of reliability, quality and long-term innovative strength."
