BvL Develops Cleaning System for High-Purity Applications

With the NiagaraUP, BvL Oberflächentechnik is introducing a new chamber cleaning system for applications with the highest purity requirements. The modular system combines minimized media carryover, thorough filtration, and flexible process control for demanding cleaning tasks.
The new NiagaraUP cleaning system from BvL was developed specifically for high-purity applications in the semiconductor, optical, medical, and precision engineering industries. The system design focuses on consistently reproducible component cleanliness and high process stability. To achieve this, BvL relies on a newly designed cleaning chamber with aerodynamic geometry, a centered drain, and additional rinse nozzles to minimize media carryover and particle accumulation. The concept is complemented by a consistent hygienic design featuring V4A piping welded with forming gas, hygienically designed tanks, and thorough filtration both before and during the relevant cleaning steps. This is intended to stabilize media quality and reliably meet the highest purity requirements.
Modular Component Cleaning for Semiconductors, Medical Technology, and Precision Engineering
The NiagaraUP enables freely configurable process control, allowing cleaning, rinsing, and drying steps to be flexibly combined. The system features, among other things, spray, flood, pressure-flood, and ultrasonic cleaning, as well as the optional vacuum pulse technology (VIT) for complex component geometries. For drying, hot air with HEPA H13 filtration, infrared, and vacuum drying are available. Integrated bath monitoring with automatic cleaning agent replenishment, along with an energy dashboard, ensures consistent process quality and transparent consumption data. Thanks to its modular design, the NiagaraUP can be scaled from a compact single-chamber solution up to automated cleaning lines with multiple process chambers and adapted to various production requirements.
