Bundesverband Farbe Gestaltung Bautenschutz: New managing director

The general meeting of the Bundesverband Farbe Gestaltung Bautenschutz elected Dr. Philipp Frank (58) as the successor to Mathias Bucksteeg on April 14, 2026. He will take up the position of Chief Executive Officer on May 1, 2026.
Dr. Frank has over 18 years of management and leadership experience in chambers, local authorities and the private sector. His positions have included Head of the Department for Economic Policy & Strategic Issues at the Saarland Chamber of Industry and Commerce and Head of Corporate Communications & SME and Regional Policy at the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce. He also held the office of Lord Mayor of the large district town of Waldshut-Tiengen from 2015 to 2023. "I would like to thank the members' meeting for their trust and I am very much looking forward to shaping the future of the Bundesverband Farbe Gestaltung Bautenschutz together with the board, the state guild associations and the team at the office," explained Dr. Philipp Frank after his election.
"We are delighted to have gained in Dr. Frank an experienced leader with extensive knowledge and proven success in the representation of economic policy interests," emphasized Guido Müller, President of the Bundesverband Farbe Gestaltung Bautenschutz. "Our painting and decorating trade and the guild organization are facing major challenges. We are confident that Dr. Frank will provide valuable strategic impetus for the future-oriented further development and modern positioning of our association." Dr. Philipp Frank will take up his position as Managing Director of the Bundesverband Farbe Gestaltung Bautenschutz on 1 May 2026.
