At Automechanika Frankfurt 2026, Axalta showcased new technologies for automotive refinishing. The focus was on the Irus AutoDose automatic mixing system, the new Axalta Synergy brand featuring a UV-A system, and the Raptor VX protective coating.

At Automechanika Frankfurt 2026, Axalta unveiled its connected refinish ecosystem, featuring several new innovations. The solutions combine refinish technologies with digital platforms and are designed to help bodyshops reduce turnaround times and streamline workflows. The ecosystem includes, among others, the paint brands Cromax, Spies Hecker, and Standox, as well as the Axalta Irus system for color management, Axalta Nimbus for digital ordering and training processes, and Axalta Drivus for operational consulting. The highlight is the world premiere of Axalta Irus AutoDose. This automatic paint mixing system is designed specifically for medium-sized repair shops and complements the fully automated Irus Mix. The compact system can be integrated into existing mixing rooms and can accommodate up to twelve color pans simultaneously. This is designed to ensure that frequently used color formulas are dispensed quickly and precisely. According to Axalta, even complex color shades can be mixed within six minutes. Irus AutoDose is designed for Cromax EZ+, Spies Hecker Hi-FLX, and Standox Standoflow.

Axalta Synergy Brings UV-A Technology to Collision Repair

With Axalta Synergy, the company is also introducing a unified brand for ancillary products such as cleaners, additives, and UV solutions. This includes a new UV-A system for minor cosmetic damage and spot repairs. According to the manufacturer, the AXS504 UV-A primer-filler cures within one minute. The AXS700 UV-A clear coat is applied in 1.5 spray passes and, after a three-minute flash-off time, can also be cured within one minute using a UV-A handheld lamp. Another new product is Raptor VX. This protective coating is designed for accelerated workflows and is intended for use not only in traditional automotive refinishing but also in commercial fleets, auto auctions, marine applications, and light industry, among other areas.
