From October 10 to 12, ATL-Anlagentechnik Luhden GmbH will present solutions for effective deburring of demanding components made of different materials at DeburringExpo 2023 in Karlsruhe.

ATL Anlagentechnik Luhden presents efficient solutions for the effective and fast deburring of demanding workpieces made of different materials such as metals, plastics and foams. The TEM process is particularly suitable for complex components with hard-to-reach drill branches and internal burrs. Trade show visitors to DeburringExpo 2022 can get an impression of thermal deburring at ATL.

The thermal deburring process takes place in two phases: the ignition phase and the deburring phase. The heat required to ignite the burrs is generated solely by burning the fuel gas with oxygen. The more massive the burrs to be removed, the more fuel gas-oxygen mixture must be introduced into the combustion chamber. Combustion of the burrs occurs when the heat generated is high enough to cause ignition. Combustion of the material is self-sustaining as long as sufficient oxygen is present and there is no cooling due to excessively large cross-sections. Suitable fuel gases are methane, hydrogen or natural gas. ATL Anlagentechnik Luhden can be found at DeburringExpo, booth 301.
