AMB—the International Exhibition for Metalworking—concluded on September 19, 2026, sending a positive signal for Baden-Württemberg and the metalworking industry in Europe: approximately 65,000 visitors from 76 countries attended the trade show.

After five intense days packed with events, the AMB closed its doors on September 19. 1,195 exhibiting companies from 34 countries showcased their innovations, products, services, and concepts across all ten exhibition halls at the fairgrounds. With numerous event formats, diverse networking opportunities, and the AMB Stage, the trade show also offered an extensive supporting program outside the exhibition halls. Surface technology was particularly well represented at AMB 2026 in Hall 5, where companies specializing in component cleaning, for example, exhibited. Attendance figures for AMB 2026 were on par with those of 2024. In contrast, the quality of trade visitors has increased: 68 percent are decision-makers from the manufacturing sector. Roland Bleinroth, Managing Director of Messe Stuttgart, draws a positive conclusion: “Once again this year, the AMB has impressively demonstrated how important it is for the industry. With encouraging visitor numbers, increased international participation, and even greater decision-making authority among trade visitors, it’s clear: this is not just a place for discussion—it’s where investments are made and decisions are taken. The atmosphere in the halls was noticeably marked by a sense of optimism and new beginnings. That’s exactly the kind of space the AMB offers: a place for conversations that lead to solutions and successful business deals.”

Stable Attendance at AMB 2026 and More Decision-Makers

The increased decision-making authority is particularly evident among visitors. 14 percent come from business, corporate, or operational management—up from 10 percent in 2024. 35 percent work in manufacturing, production, or quality control. With an overall rating of 1.7, the visitors themselves also confirm the positive atmosphere and the AMB’s position as a leading European trade show. Internationally, too, the AMB remains a sought-after industry gathering. International visitors account for 22 percent of the total. Guests from Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Turkey, the Netherlands, France, Eastern Europe, and Scandinavia were particularly well represented.
