Álvarez-Schaer: Compact anodizing plant for anodizing with reduced space requirements

The new compact Anodikit Zone anodizing system from Álvarez-Schaer for aluminium processors enables high-quality anodizing with reduced space requirements. The anodic coating quality meets the requirements of Qualanod certification.
The new anodizing plant from Álvarez-Schaer is based on a spray-applied pretreatment concept in which all pretreatment stages are carried out in a single multiprocess tank. This configuration significantly reduces the number of tanks and bath volume compared to conventional anodizing lines, while providing uniform and controlled surface preparation. Thanks to its compact design, Anodikit Zone only requires around 250 m² of floor space and can be operated by 1-2 people per shift. This makes the system particularly suitable for companies in which the optimization of space and personnel plays a central role. The simplified system layout also results in lower maintenance costs and uncomplicated daily operation.
High-quality anodizing despite compact design
Despite the compact design and optimized use of resources, the process delivers high-quality anodizing and - depending on the configuration and application requirements - enables additional finishing options such as dyeing. The anodic layer quality achieved with Anodikit Zone meets the requirements of Qualanod certification, and anodizing processes on this type of system are already being used in production by Qualanod-certified companies. Compared to conventional pre-treatments for anodizing, Anodikit Zone offers significantly lower water and chemical consumption. In combination with zero liquid discharge solutions such as EcodePure, the system supports advanced sustainability strategies that meet current environmental and regulatory requirements. In plants where powder coating is already in place, the compact design of Anodikit Zone enables the integration of anodizing as a complementary process. This means that Preox pre-treatment can be implemented without the infrastructural expense of a conventional anodizing plant.
