AD Chemicals establishes German subsidiary and expands

The foundation of AD Chemicals GmbH is part of the further expansion of AD International in Europe in 2026. AD Chemicals GmbH specializes in chemical surface treatment of metals and serves customers in key segments such as general industry (steel), aluminium finishing and anodizing, hot-dip galvanizing and the coil, tube & wire industry. The portfolio includes applications on aluminum, galvanized steel, steel and multi metal substrates. With its local presence, AD Chemicals aims to support German customers more directly in process optimization, product selection and implementation, with a focus on process stability and measurable efficiency.

Pretreatment and passivation technologies from AD Chemicals

According to the company, the portfolio focuses on future-proof pretreatment and passivation technologies, combined with application-oriented support to reduce energy, water and chemical consumption and lower maintenance costs through fewer bath changes and cleaning cycles. AD Chemicals aligns this approach with industrial sustainability goals and policy direction in Europe, including the EU Green Deal. The company says its pretreatment systems are designed as an alternative to conventional multi-stage processes, with a focus on corrosion protection and paint adhesion. One example is MM31, a one-step pretreatment technology that combines cleaning, degreasing and conversion coating in one process step. Tobias Fischer, Sales Manager, AD Chemicals GmbH, says: "We've always done it this way" is one of the most expensive phrases in purchasing. Decisions based on habit feel safe, but are not always the best solution.
