52nd ak-adp Workshop: Plasma Technology for Water Treatment
The 52nd workshop of the Atmospheric Pressure Plasma User Group (ak-adp), to be held on November 25 and 26, 2026, in Leipzig, will focus on applications of plasma technology in water and wastewater treatment.
The 52nd workshop of the Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Working Group (ak-adp) will take place on November 25 and 26, 2026, at the Leibniz Institute for Surface Modification (IOM) in Leipzig. Under the theme “Plasma4Water,” the workshop will focus on applications of plasma technology for water and wastewater treatment. The workshop will focus on plasma-activated water, PFAS degradation, photocatalysis, and membrane and filter technologies. The workshop is being organized jointly by the Leibniz IOM and the plasma technology cluster BalticNet PlasmaTec e.V., with support from Tigres GmbH.
Plasma Technology for Water Treatment
Atmospheric plasmas are already well established in surface engineering for cleaning, functionalization, and coating. However, the treatment of liquids is increasingly coming into focus. The lecture program covers, among other topics, plasma-activated water, the degradation of persistent water contaminants and PFAS, photocatalysis, and membrane and filter technologies. The event will be complemented by a laboratory tour at the Leibniz IOM, opportunities for professional exchange, and an evening event.
