34th symposium "Industrial component cleaning" 2026

The FiT symposium "Industrial component cleaning" on June 25 and 26, 2026 at the Neckar Forum Esslingen offers know-how, informs about trends and new developments in cleaning technology.
The 34th "Industrial Component Cleaning" conference organized by the German Industrial Parts Cleaning Association (FiT) will present expertise, new process engineering solutions and products, innovative process management methods and best-practice applications for the rapidly changing requirements in the industry. An integrated exhibition and the presentation of the "FiT2clean Award" innovation prize complete the program of the event, which has established itself as the leading knowledge platform for component cleaning. It is organized by fairXperts at the Neckar Forum Esslingen. The diverse program of the two-day event will focus on the topics of the parts cleaning process chain, media quality - process water treatment, innovations, measuring, testing and controlling as well as practical examples. It thus offers numerous impulses and demonstrates strategies for the adaptation and optimization of cleaning processes. Under the title "From sand in the gears to contamination-free", the importance of cleanliness throughout the entire process chain will be highlighted and information provided on general standards, guidelines and requirements in practice. A presentation will use a practical example from the medical technology sector to illustrate the conceptual and technological challenges involved in designing high-purity cleaning applications, whereby the cleaning system is to be understood as a quality gate upstream of the cleanroom. The factors that need to be taken into account when coordinating forming processes, component cleaning and corrosion protection in battery cell production will also be discussed.
World firsts and updates from industrial component cleaning
The presentation of a world first for the energy-efficient and environmentally friendly laser cleaning of bulk solids such as screws, nuts and clips is also on the agenda. Under the motto "Innovation Butane Cleaning", participants will receive an update on the latest developments in a new cleaning process. Other topics include new high-performance filters for component cleaning and the efficiency benefits of treating used rinsing water using vacuum distillation. In addition, the symposium will provide information on the possibility of increasing the cleaning efficiency and recyclability of process water in mass finishing through synergetic cleaning and flocculant systems, as well as realizing cost and resource savings in component cleaning through measured value-controlled bath changes. New developments for bath monitoring, such as a solution for mobile measurement of ultrasonic performance and cleanliness control with regard to particulate and filmic cleanliness, will also be presented. The benefits resulting from the interaction of cleaning technology and new metrological solutions along the process chain will be illustrated by practical examples. Likewise, how cleaning performance can be improved through the consistent recording, evaluation and interpretation of process and cleanliness data. The decisive influence of intelligent parts handling on cost efficiency is also highlighted. A practical article answers the question of what advantages inline laser cleaning of die-cast aluminum electronics housings offers as an alternative to decapping.
Presentation of the FiT2clan Innovation Award and trade exhibition
The Fit2clean Award, endowed with 10,000 euros, will also be presented during the symposium. The innovation prize will be awarded for the fifth time on June 25. Prior to this, the three finalists will present their submitted solutions to the conference participants. An accompanying exhibition rounds off the ambitious program of presentations. Participants will have the opportunity to find out about new products and developments in the field of industrial cleaning technology and to exchange experiences directly with experts. The conference is aimed at specialists and managers, engineers and technicians from development and design, technology, process engineering, work preparation, production, production planning and quality management from various industries.
