31st Stuttgart Industry Get-Together Paint - Varnish - Surface

The Stuttgart industry get-together Paint - Varnish - Surface will once again take place as a face-to-face event on December 4, 2025. The focus will be on examples of the use of AI and digitalization in surface technology.
The 31st Stuttgart Industry Get-Together Paint - Varnish - Surface will be held on December 4, 2025 at the Stuttgart School of Color and Design. The event continues the established series of expert dialogues and this time focuses on the influence of artificial intelligence and digital process optimization on surface technology. Representatives from companies and research will report on current developments and practical applications of modern technologies.
Application of AI and digitalization in surface technology
Oliver Drum from Gebrüder Dorfner GmbH & Co KG will present how AI can be used in the development of new emulsion paints. The approach shows the potential offered by data-based methods to optimize formulations more quickly and adapt product properties in a targeted manner. In the second presentation, Robin Bärtle and Sebastian Mangold from J. Wagner GmbH will provide insights into the state of digitalization in paint application and shed light on the question of what prospects automation and digital tools are currently opening up in the construction industry. The free event is organized by the Association of Paint and Varnish Engineers VILF together with the GDCh's Paint Chemistry Division and the Technical College for Paint Technology. Registration by e-mail to Margarete.Zacherl@fpl-ev.de is required by December 2. The industry get-together is aimed at experts from the fields of coatings chemistry, application technology and surface treatment and offers the opportunity to exchange information on current developments and discuss technological trends in the industry.
