Hönle shows UV drying and curing for coatings

The Hönle Business Unit Curing will be presenting UV and LED UV curing systems for a wide range of coating applications at the ICE Europe 2025 trade fair. The focus of the trade fair presentation is a UV curing chamber that can be used for curing coatings on technical films, for example.
UV specialist Hönle will be showcasing a selection from its wide range of UV and LED UV curing units for coating applications at the ICE Europe trade fair (March 11 - 13, 2025 in Munich). The curing experts' product portfolio will be complemented by hybrid LED / UV systems, IR hot air modules and UV / LED UV measurement technology, including the brand new UV Scan MACS. The focus of the trade fair presentation will be a UV drying chamber for installation above a water-cooled roller. Equipped with reflectors and UV lamps, the system enables efficient and uniform curing on sensitive and temperature-sensitive materials. Typical applications include the curing of coatings on technical films and the cross-linking of silicones and hotmelt/PSA adhesives.
A special feature of the UV curing chamber is the optional nitrogen inertization, which reduces the residual oxygen content in the irradiation area to < 50 ppm. This leads to significantly improved properties of the coating in terms of sensory properties, migration behavior and mechanical and chemical resistance. The system is versatile and suitable for various materials, including paper, films and plastics: a practical solution for numerous industries, including packaging, technical film materials and pharmaceutical products. By using the Hönle UV chamber, Hönle customers benefit from improved end product quality, shorter process times and a special design for easy and maintenance-friendly access. A world first is the new UV Scan MACS with patented measuring technology for simple and precise determination of the UV dose. The Hönle Business Unit Curing will be represented at ICE Europe 2025 in Hall A6, Stand 736.
