In June 2023, the seminar "Ways to climate neutrality in electroplating" will address questions on how to successfully convert electroplating operations and save energy. It will be held at the Fraunhofer IPA in Stuttgart and is aimed at specialists and managers, job coaters and employees of in-house electroplating shops.

Companies want to take the next step towards climate neutrality of their electroplating operation or in-house electroplating. In the future, they want to save energy and switch to renewable energies. What measures can even small companies with few employees implement and when will the measures pay off? Answers will be provided on June 13, 2023 at the seminar "Ways to climate neutrality in electroplating" at the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA in Stuttgart.

In this seminar, participants will learn from practical reports from the electroplating industry which steps can be taken towards greater energy efficiency and climate neutrality, but also where hurdles and difficulties can be avoided. Experts from the research community will provide orientation based on comparative data from the industry. The seminar contents are: Paths to climate neutrality - transformation of energy systems in electroplating; reports from research on energy efficiency measures; digitalization and the integration of renewable energy generation (photovoltaics, wind power, hydrogen, etc.); practical reports from electroplating companies on the implementation of energy efficiency measures, energy monitoring and climate neutrality; hurdles and obstacles in the transformation of energy systems; energy management systems - function and benefits in operation and funding opportunities in the field of energy efficiency. More information is available on the Fraunhofer IPA event page.
