BASF Shanghai Coatings (BSC) has opened a new technical center at BSC's Minhang site. It offers automotive manufacturers complete solutions for the entire process from color shade development to product launch. With this new offering, BSC can better serve vehicle manufacturers in China with its technology, products and services.
BASF Shanghai Coatings' (BSC) new technical center has modern laboratory facilities and a team of highly qualified and experienced staff. It offers customers holistic solutions that cover the entire process from color design, styling and matching to product development and launch via the "color + innovation" studio. With the new organization, high-quality color shades are elaborated, product development times are significantly shortened, and overall work efficiency is improved. The technology center for KTL application was newly built to improve technical competence and performance in application technology. In the KTL application laboratory and pilot plant, product releases, quality checks and process compatibility tests can be carried out, and customers can be supported in parameter adjustment and process and technology optimization with the help of basin and technology simulations. "I am very pleased to celebrate the opening of BASF Shanghai Coatings' new technical center and to see the expansion project in Minhang successfully completed," said Dr. Jeffrey Jianfeng Lou, president and chief executive officer of BASF Greater China.
